These are the HASSRA Fylde Members (plus Tony Briggs & Elinor Evans) who rose to the challenge of completing 75 miles (300 laps) around the track of Stanley Park, Blackpool, in aid of the British Heart Foundation, as part of the 75th Anniversary celebrations of HASSRA. With a couple of last minute withdrawals the runners rose to the extra challenge and with some covering extra laps the distance was in fact exceeded (77 miles). |

Everyone who took part showed true HASSRA spirit and none more so than Liz Birnie who had only come down to support the event. On hearing that that the team were short she completed 10 laps of the track and then returned later to wish everyone well. Total Sponsorship Raised as at 6th September = £333.00. | |||||||||||
