HASSRA Fylde had the pleasure of hosting the 2010 National (Coarse) Angling Championships which was held at Highfield Fisheries in Hambleton, Lancashire.

2010 Winners:

All 12 regions were represented at this event.

The individual award saw a repeat of last year’s competition with Chris Knights (East of England) coming first with a winning weight of 80lbs of carp, tench and silver fish. Second place went to Ron Stanley (South West) and in third place was Steve Guy (North East).

North East (Steve Guy, Andy Sinclair and Nigel Ripley) won the team award with a total weight of 106lb 1oz.

2011 Event:

The next National Championship will be hosted by HASSRA South East in July 2011. Exact date and venue is yet to be confirmed. There will be individual and team events with each HASSRA region sending three competitors.
