Photography Competition

The next National Photography Competition will be held in 2012 – exact details yet to be confirmed. Regrettably there is nobody able to host an event in 2011 and so the event will be re-launched for 2012.

For further details please contact your Regional Business Partner.

The 2010 National Photography Competition was hosted by HASSRA Fylde. Points were awarded to all entries and the Region scoring the most points was awarded the Graham Schofield Trophy.

Individual trophies were awarded for Best Snapshot (beginners only), Best Prints (beginner and advanced) and to the Best Digital Images (beginner and advanced) as follows:-

Best Print (Advanced) – ‘Millennium Bridge’ by Gary Dixon

Best Print (Beginner) – ‘Along the Towpath’ by Frances Gigg

Best Digital (Advanced) – ‘Dawn at Rutting Ground’ by Philip Hodson

Best Digital (Beginner) – ‘Waiting Kingfisher’ by Joanne Reevey

Best Snapshot – ‘Evening Light, Port Patrick’ by Frances Gigg

Best Beginner (Mike Brougham Trophy) was awarded to Frances Gigg.

Every single point awarded counted towards the Best Association award, the Graham Schofield Trophy, which was won by HASSRA Fylde with 94 points. North East and Yorkshire & The Humber were joint runners-up each with 62 points.
