- New volunteers are required to take over the management of the shop.
- The shop opens from April to Sept/Oct each year and traditionally opens each week on Thursday lunchtimes, as it has done for over 40 years.
- The shop manager is responsible for choosing, ordering and pricing stock, advertising the shop, obtaining a weekly selection of plants – currently obtained by a ‘sale or return’ agreement with a local garden centre - and the general running of the shop when open. Facility time is allowed to any member of staff volunteering. You must be a member of HASSRA and would be expected to join the Gardening Club.
- The current manager will be happy to provide advice and training for the first opening month to anyone wishing to volunteer for this interesting venture. Expressions of interest in writing please, to Pat Eardley, Rm. 6129, Norcross.
